Strategic Objectives
Strategic Objective 1:
MACDE assists Conservation Districts in establishing professional level
benefit packages for their employees.
- Other benefits we are working on to obtain for MACDE members are:
- Health Insurance Package
- Life Insurance Package
- Disability Insurance Package
- Dependent and Medical Care Account
- Statewide Employer Contribution Retirement Plan
- We are developing and recommending to Conservation District Boards a pay scale for para-professional and professional positions.
- We actively assist MACD in obtaining a funding level for Conservation Districts adequate enough to support the employees' benefit package.
Strategic Objective 2:
We continue to provide Conservation District employees with the tools needed to increase their professionalism.
- We are in the process of developing uniform job descriptions and a performance appraisal process for Conservation District employees.
- We develop and promote training modules, and provide employee's input in the Conservation District Training Program.
- We pro-actively seek membership input.
- We seek advocacy roles on key committees and boards that impact environmental issues.
- We have established and continue to refine a placement service for Conservation Districts who are seeking personnel, and for members seeking advancement.
